Alaafin’s eldest wife, Kafayat, is dead

Only two months after the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, was reunited with his ancestors, one of his oldest queens, Olori Kafayat, is said to have died. 

Though the family has yet to confirm the details of her death, Vanguard has learned that she died late Friday night. 

She was the mother of Oyo State Local Government Pensions Board Chairman Prince Adebayo Adeyemi.
