President Muhammadu Buhari has said he is not concerned about who becomes the next president of Nigeria.

The President who spoke during an interview with ChannelsTV and monitored by Caracalreports said he may be eliminated if he mentioned the personality he would like to succeed him after the expiration of his tenure in 2023.

According to him, “I’m not interested. It is not my problem. It is not my interest. I cannot say who succeeds me or talk about it. I may be eliminated if I mention it. I think it’s better I keep quiet.”

Caracalreports had reported that former President Goodluck Jonathan had been making secrete moves to succeed Buhari in 2023.

The former president had been reported to have commenced consultation on how best to secure the APC ticket against some prominent personalities that are believed would come out for the race.

Meanwhile, the National Leader of All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu has said he would announce his decision on the presidential contest in January 2022. He said yielding to several calls of the people who wanted him to succeed Buhari in the office would be a good thing but needed time for more consultations on the matter.
