2023: Buhari will handover to APC president, says Garba Shehu

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, is hopeful an All Progressives Congress (APC) president will succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

Buhari’s media aide spoke on Wednesday during the post-Federal Executive Council (FEC) briefing with journalists.

He was asked to respond to reports that his principal had extended the issue of fuel subsidy to the next administration.

In his response, Shehu said, “But she (the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed) has answered you. Firstly, what this tells you is that the president is responsive and we are going to hand over to the next administration, APC, God willing.”
