Ritual killings: Another 22-year-old lady murdered in Osun, vital parts missing

A lady, 22, simply identified as Shakirat, had been found dead in Iwo, Osun State, with some vital parts of her missing.

Her killers, suspected to be terrorists, dumped her remains at the back of her mother’s shop at Oke-Oore, Iwo.

Shakirat was said to have left the house on Wednesday morning and did not return until her corpse was found behind her mother’s shop on Thursday morning.

They killers allegedly removed some of her private and vital parts.

The incident was confirmed by the state police spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, who said that an investigation into the matter has begun.

The police spokesperson explained said the force took the corpse of the lady to carry out an autopsy but when the family insisted on burying her, the corpse was released to them.

Ritual killings has become a serious concern in Nigeria, with the House of Reps recently asking that the Federal Governent should declare emergency on the menace.

The latest suspected ritual killing is coming as the country is still lamenting the death of 22-year old, Bamise Ayanwola, who went missing after boarding a BRT bus on Saturday, February 26, and later was found dead.
