2023: APC extends sale, submission of forms deadline
The time for purchasing expressions of interest and nomination forms has been extended by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The APC has extended the deadline to May 12th, 2022, and has ordered that all candidates who have filed applications be examined on Saturday and Sunday.
Aspirants who have received nomination papers have until Friday to submit them, according to the announcement.
The party blamed the delays on ‘Sallah festivities.’
“Following the extended deadline, the APC has scheduled screenings for all contenders who have returned their legally filled and signed nomination and expression of interest forms to the APC secretariat on Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15,” according to the announcement.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, President Muhammadu Buhari issued an order requiring all ministers seeking electoral office in 2023 to retire by Monday, May 16th.
The instruction was delivered to the affected cabinet members at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) presided over by the President.
