Buhari orders Ministers contesting election to resign

Ministers with presidential ambitions have been ordered to resign immediately by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The President issued the order during a meeting of the Federal Executive Council on Wednesday.

Those having other goals or running for various posts were also requested to resign.

Timipre Sylva, the minister of state for petroleum, Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Emeka Nwajuiba, the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and others are anticipated to quit as a result of the instruction.
