Senator Bello Gwarzo elected as PDP Vice Chairman North West

Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo was chosen as the zonal Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the North-West zone.

With 426 votes to 313 votes, Gwarzo beat Mohammed Yusuf.

On Monday, the PDP’s North-West congregated in Kaduna for the party’s congress, which was an overflow from the chaotic 2021 convention.

Last year, sponsored thugs broke into the congress location, seized voting boxes, and destroyed infrastructure, forcing the congress to be suspended.

While announcing the results, Senator Attah Aidoko Alli, chairman of the North West Congress Electoral Committee, praised the delegates and security forces for their orderly behavior and termed the process as free and fair.

He also revealed that all other positions were won unopposed through consensus.
