Military men eliminate IPOB/ESN fighters in Imo
On Monday, Nigerian military killed four members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Eastern Security Network, an IPOB armed offshoot, was in charge of the fighters (ESN).
In the Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State, a gun war erupted in Amaifeke and Ihioma.
The terrorists shot irregularly, threatening people’ lives, prompting the 34 Brigade Obinze to reply.
The gang opened fire on seeing the patrol squad, according to Army spokesperson Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu.
The troops confronted them, killing four of them before fleeing the area, according to Nwachukwu.
One pump action pistol, ten live rounds, and a Toyota Hilux were among the items discovered.
Earlier, the car was seized at gunpoint. Charms and mobile phones were also discovered.
Residents were ordered by the Army to provide credible information on the movement “of criminal elements to security agencies whenever sighted”.
