Bad leaders cause of insecurity in Nigeria —Saraki
Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has attributed the cause of raging insecurity in Nigeria to bad leadership.
He spoke in Jalingo, Taraba State on Thursday while interacting with delegates and stakeholders of the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
“We can not have the same type of leaders tomorrow as we have today. It is about the future of this country and our children. We need to do things differently,” Saraki said.
He lamented the failure of the present leadership of the country under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to address the insecurity resulting in incessant killings of innocent citizens across the country.
According to him, the country needs a “competent” leader to rescue it from the menace.
He equally decried how decided Nigeria has become and said that the people “cannot afford to use sentiments to vote.”
Stressing that bad leadership is responsible for the present insecurity, he said all hands must be on deck in order to right the wrongs.
“We must do it right for the sake of those who died for no fault of theirs,” Saraki said.
Speaking at the event, Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku said, “We need someone that will fix insecurity and bring investment.”
