Muslim-Muslim ticket: Akingbade urges Nigerians to focus on Tinubu, Shettima’s competence

Mr. Yomi Akingbade, a United States-based agriculturalist and All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain, has advised Nigerians of all faiths to focus on the skill and competence of Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima.

While commenting to Shettima’s formal launching, Akingbade stated that Tinubu and his running partner have demonstrated aptitude and competence for effective government, with impressive track records as past governors of Lagos and Borno, respectively.

“In 1993, most Nigerians in the North and South, regardless of religion, voted for Abiola and Kingibe, who were then Muslim-Muslim contenders, and they won,” he explained. Nigerians focused on Abiola and Kingibe’s aptitude and competency in 1993. This is why, in 2023, Nigerians should also focus on the capacity and competence of Tinubu and Shettima. Both would make Nigeria proud”.
