Gunmen attack Ondo police station, kill officer

Late Sunday evening, unidentified gunmen assaulted the Okuta Elerinla Police Station in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.

At the time of reporting this report, the circumstances of the occurrence were still hazy.

However, it was reported that one of the police officers at the station was killed by the bandits.

Funmilayo Odunlami, the command’s public relations officer, verified the occurrence. She stated that an inquiry into the attack has begun.
