Don’t toy with another #EndSARS uprising, NLC advises FG

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has encouraged the Federal Government not to play with another people’s revolt like the #EndSARS protest in 2020 by resolving the ongoing industrial strikes by staff unions at the country’s tertiary institutions as soon as possible.

Mrs. Funmi Agnes Sessy, Chairperson of the NLC’s Lagos Council, made the demand on Tuesday at a solidarity rally organised by the Congress in support of the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU and other unions on strike.

This comes as Mr Femi Falana, SAN, has criticised the FG’s statements about a lack of cash to solve the challenges, as well as its claims about fuel subsidies.

Falana said that the administration was being dishonest with the truth.
