APC appeals to INEC to extend PVCs registration
Ahead of the Sunday, July 31 deadline for Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) registration, the All Progressives Congress has pleaded with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to extend the deadline for the exercise.
The ruling party are also urging INEC to create more registration centres in the North West.
The APC North West Zonal Publicity Secretary, Musa Mailafia Mada, made the appeal on Friday after a meeting with the party’s Publicity Secretary in the zone held in Kaduna.
According to Mailafia, there are still many people yet to be registered as a result of shortage of centres.
“As a political party, we are calling on INEC to look inward and extend the registration exercise to enable more people to register. We also want them to create more registration centres,” he said.
