UFC: Drake loses over N600m after Israel Adesanya’s defeat by Alex Pereira

Israel Adesanya’s defeat in the early hours of Sunday, November 13, in the hand of Brazilian Alex Pereira saw Canadian rapper Drake suffering a heavy financial loss.

Drake reportedly staked CA$2,000,000 on the Nigerian mixed martial artist with the hope to get a win of CA$2,900,000.

However,it didn’t work out as he Drake expected as Adesanya was knocked out few minutes to the end of the contest.

Going into the final round Adesanya was leading 3-1, but Pereira with clear instructions from his corner to knock out the ‘Last Stylebender’ did just that to hand him his first defeat in the category and third to the Brazilian.

In a screenshot of the stake he shared on Instagram story, Drake wrote: “Been focused on the album I gotta get back to stacking up”
