ASHIA MD Onyemaechi, Urges Affluent Individuals To Enroll Poor, Vulnerable People Into The Scheme
The Managing Director of Anambra state Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA) Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi says only health insurance would guarantee universal health coverage.
Dr. Onyemaechi stated this while speaking to the newsmen in Awka.
The ASHIA boss who said that the agency will continue to do everything humanly possible to ensure that all their enrollees get value for their money, noted that they are about to hit 200,000 enrollees.
Dr. Onyemaechi maintained that only health insurance will give more people, especially the poor and vulnerable access to affordable, accessible and efficient healthcare service at all times.
He called on Ndi Anambra and other residents of the state to key into the adoption model of the agency, especially now that the yuletide is around the corner.
Dr. Onyemaechi equally appealed to politicians, affluent individuals, organizations and people of goodwill to also register poor and vulnerable people in their neigbourhood as a christmas gifts to them, rather than perishables.
The ASHIA managing director commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for all his support to the agency which has enable them to introduce so many innovations into the scheme, which has made ASHIA a reference point in terms of health insurance scheme in Nigeria.
According to Dr Onyemaechi, with one thousand naira monthly or twelve thousand naira yearly, one can be enrolled into the scheme to enjoy all the health benefits embedded in the scheme.
