Peter Obi to Katsina voters: ‘You’ve always been deceived’, vote me for a new Nigeria
If elected in the upcoming elections, Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has pledged to battle insecurity and eradicate poverty in Nigeria.
The LP candidate for president made the declarations on Monday in Katsina, the state where President Muhammadu Buhari hails from.
He claimed that the country’s great misery and poverty were a result of insecurity and poor leadership.
Mr. Obi pledged to create a new Nigeria for all people and advance the socio-economic activities of Katsina State and the country as a whole.
He claimed that he and his running mate, Datti Baba Ahmed, had decided to create a new Nigeria where security would come first, saying “when we have security, we will open the border.”
Obi said, “Ours is to fight poverty, and we can’t fight poverty without security and opening the borders, we will make sure we bring you out of poverty.
“There is insecurity in Katsina and Nigeria, we will fight the insecurity, and poverty and make sure people stop suffering.
“I know you always have a government, but you will agree with me that you are always being deceived, especially by the people you have been fighting for. Now we are coming, and I’m begging you to go out and vote for us and you see a new Nigeria.”
