Omoyele Sowore, the 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, has strongly criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, calling him a confused individual. Sowore’s remarks came in response to President Tinubu’s directive to service chiefs and heads of security and intelligence agencies to take decisive action against perpetrators of oil theft.

During a recent official meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Tinubu urged the service chiefs and intelligence heads, led by Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Lucky Irabor, to crush those involved in oil theft, emphasizing that his administration would not tolerate such criminal activities.

In his reaction, Sowore expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of the directive, alleging that the very individuals responsible for combating oil theft were also actively engaged in the illegal practice. He referred to President Tinubu as a “very confused” individual in his tweet.

Furthermore, Sowore did not shy away from criticizing the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, describing their tenure as a complete failure. He lamented that despite their promises, neither Buhari nor Osinbajo had succeeded in improving the state of Nigeria. Sowore likened their performance to a popular saying: “Bose Lo, Lose Bo!” which roughly translates to “he went empty-handed and returned empty-handed.”

In summary, Sowore strongly condemned President Tinubu’s directive, suggesting that the individuals responsible for combating oil theft were themselves involved in the illegal activities. Additionally, he criticized the previous administration of Buhari and Osinbajo, characterizing it as a period of failure for Nigeria.
