Jamal Ademola discusses the Black Identity on Caracal Reports

In the Activists for Change – Caracal Reports series, Meagan Moyle sits down with Jamal Ademola, a Nigerian-American mixed media artist, filmmaker, and actor. His talents span multiple platforms: film, visual art, video, drawing, painting, photography, and performance. Through the lens of his own life experiences, he inspires the audience to examine themes including black identities, the divine feminine, cultural consciousness, and society. 
His piece, “I FOREVER AM,” was recently featured in the “African Ancient Futures” exhibition in Lagos, Nigeria, curated by Ethel-Ruth Tawe. He can also be seen in the independent film “Ten-Cent Daisy,” which premiered October 2nd in New York City at the Urban World Film Festival and will be streaming at the 2021 American Black Film Festival in November.
