Students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State, embarked on a protest on Thursday morning.

The students, in a video, were seen sitting on the road, which resulted in gridlock as vehicles could not move.

While the cause of the protest was not known as at the time of filing this report, the video revealed that policemen were at the protest site to forestall pandemonium.

A police officer was appealing to the protesting students to leave the road so that the vehicles could move.

He told them that he was not opposed to their demonstration but they should do it away not to adversely affect others.

“Some of these people are your parents that are going to their offices, and to their businesses and they should not be late.

“Just move away from the highway please. If you want to protest, don’t do so to affect them,” the police officer said.
