Nollywood not cause of incessant ritual killing, says Yul Edochie

Nollywood star actor Yul Edochie has said that the Nigerian movie industry was not the cause of the incessant ritual killings in the country.

There have been claims in some quarters that Nollywood movies are contributing to the rising cases of ritual killings across the country.

However, Yul, in a post via Instagram said,

“From when I was a kid in the eighties, I started hearing about ritual killings in Nigeria. There was no Nollywood. Hunger and poverty make people do crimes. No, be Nollywood cause am, Nollywood is only showing what happens in the society”.

Yul is the son of a Nollywood legend, Pete Edochie.
