Wizkid speaks after losing Grammys, congratulates winner, Angelique Kidjo
Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, has broken silence after his two nominations failed to give him a win at Grammy Awards.
While of the nominations, ‘Made In Lagos’, lost in the category of Best Global music album to Angelique Kidjo’s ‘Mother Nature’.
The other nomination, ‘Essence’ also failed to win the Best Global music performance.

No Nigerians have been frowning that the recording academy failed to recognise any of the two nominations, especially Essence.
Wizkid, who had been silent over the event, finally reacted in a post via his Instagram page, congratulating Angelique Kidjo on her win.
He said: “Love to my brother, a true King @realblackcoffee and Queen @angeliquekidio for the wins and for consistently shining light to the continent.
“African music rising.”
