Nigeria Win Another Big Medal at 2022 Commonwealth Games

Team Nigeria’s medal run at the 2022 Commonwealth Games has continued, with Taiwo Liadi collecting another in the weightlifting event.

Liadi won Silver in the women’s 76kg division after lifting a total of 216kg.

In the process, she set a junior Commonwealth Games record.

Nigeria’s five medals in the games have all come from the weightlifting competition.

Team Nigeria’s gold medalists were Folashade Rofiat Lawal and Adijat Olarinoye, while bronze medalists were Edidiong Umoafia and Islamiyat Adebukola Yusuf.
