2023: Tinubu informs Buhari of intention to run for president

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, on Monday informed President Muhammadu Buhari of his intention to contest the presidential election in 2023.

He told State House correspondents after visiting Buhari in Aso Rock on Monday, that he informed the president of his aspiration during their meeting.

He, meanwhile, said he was yet to inform Nigerians of his intention to be their next President.

Describing Buhari as a democrat, he said he did not ask him to drop the ambition, which he said is a life-long dream.

The former Lagos State governor Bola Tinubu added that he has the confidence, vision, and capacity to build on the foundation laid by President Buhari to turn around the fortunes of the country.
